MOLLY ROSE HELLER, director
Molly Rose Heller is a multi-talented theatre-maker. Select directing credits include: Existential Questions (Green Room 42, upcoming), Olivia Harris’ Planet Joy (City Winery), Dybbuk (upcoming), Faust 2.0 (Mabou Mines, asst dir., upcoming), Cannibal Galaxy: a love story (New Ohio, asst dir.), and Missing Gemini (Winner, Best Direction). Other credits include Design for Living (Berkshire Theatre Group), Imagining the Imaginary Invalid (La Mama) and book/lyrics for Plath. (FringeNYC). She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Theatre and Drama Arts from Columbia University and a B.A. in Modern Jewish Studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
FERNANDA DOUGLAS, musical director
Fernanda Douglas is a composer and music director from Goleta, California, and a graduate of Columbia University. She is an active member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop and her original musical, Plath., was part of the 2015 NY Fringe Festival. Fernanda is an associate voice coach with Broadway vocal supervisor, Liz Caplan, and in her free time, she's the deputy director of The Dream Unfinished, the NYC-based activist orchestra. She recently returned from New Delhi, India where she was working on the musical adaptation of film director, Mira Nair's Monsoon Wedding.
TAYLOR STEELE, assistant director
Taylor Steele is an NYC-born and based writer. She has written for The Body is Not an Apology, Anomalous Press, and Philadelphia Printworks. An internationally ranked spoken word artist, she has been featured by Huffington Post, Brooklyn Poets, Button Poetry and is a 2016 Pushcart Nominee. Taylor has written and performed two solo pieces directed by Zishan Ugurlu for productions at La MaMa in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, her 10-minute play “I Tell Medusa I’m Lonely” was up at the Manhattan Repertory Theatre. Taylor is a triple-Taurus who believes in the power of art to change, shape, and heal.

Olivia Clari (Jen) is an actor-musician whose recent roles include Girl in ONCE (ZACH Theater, Oregon Cabaret), Marianne in Sense and Sensibility, May in Fool For Love, River in Appropriate, and Louise LeBreton in workshops of The Hello Girls. Other favorite credits include Very Serious (This is Serious) devised with Dave Malloy and Witness Relocation, and playing the dancing poop emoji on MTV. B.A. in Religion, Certificates in Theater and French from Princeton University. When not acting, she loves playing music with children. Lily Narbonne recently relocated to NYC after living in San Francisco, where she received her MFA from American Conservatory Theater. She is thrilled to work on a musical, deep thanks to the NFTB Team! Favorite roles: Fabiana Aziza Cunningham in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, the Ghost of Christmas Past in A Christmas Carol, and Reverend Karinne in Young Jean Lee’s Church, in which she sang “Bread” by On!Air!Library!. Charise is an actor, playwright, and coach creating works in NYC. Her play, CANNIBAL GALAXY: A LOVE STORY (previously directed by the extraordinary Tiffany Nicole Greene at Xavier) was recently seen at The New Ohio Theater, produced by Between Two Boroughs. It is being produced by San Francisco Playhouse in 2020. Her short film PUBLIC PROPERTY, in which she stars, was recently released by Smartmouth Productions. She’s currently shooting Hulu’s YOUNGER as Laurel, and will also be seen as Headmistress in Apple TV’s DICKINSON. She will be directing MEN ON BOATS at Barnard college this year. Charise has also taught acting at Barnard/Columbia and numerous other universities across the nation. She has coached actors on MADAM SECREATRY, QUANTICO, GET CHRISTIE LOVE, BLINDSPOT, THE AFFAIR, MAPPLETHORPE and more. Charise has worked as an actor at Irondale, The Flea, New York Theatre Workshop, Ensemble Studio Theater, JACK, The Signature and others. Jake Lasser is an actor, poet, and artist based in (you guessed it!) Brooklyn. His work has ranged from playing Romeo for very vocal middle school audiences with Stages on the Sound to devising new work with Mabou Mines, Theater in Asylum, The Brewing Dept., and Dara Malina. Bradley is a an actor/writer born and raised in South San Antonio, Texas. He is a recent graduate from the Yale School of Drama (c/o) 2016. He works freelance as a Physical Acting Resource. He is currently working on generating devised physical theatre works inspired and influenced by organic intelligence, psycho-somatic expression, Human Resiliency to Trauma, and Masked Physical Theatre that responds to Ancestrally inherited human behavior and responses. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Raquel Cockrell recently moved to NYC from Los Angeles to pursue her passion of singing. Performing as a guest entertainer vocalist for the past three years with Princess Cruises has given Raquel the opportunity to see many parts of the world. She has put her fins away to see how her land legs still hold up. Graduated from Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and favorite roles include: Sally Bowles-Cabaret, Tituba-The Crucible, Ado Annie- Oklahoma!, and Alice's Daughter- Big River. Daniel Soto is excited to be returning to the NFTB Team. He is an NYC Based Actor from Poth, Texas and a recent graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City where he obtained his Associate of Occupational Studies. Eric Miller Rosenblatt (Otto) is a NYC/Long Island based actor, director, and teaching artist. He most recently performed as Conrad Birdie in the St. Jeans’s Players production of Bye Bye Birdie. Select credits include Candide (Dr. Pangloss), Conform (original Jeff), Moon Over Buffalo (Howard), and Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play. Eric recently directed Spatial Disorientation by Lisa Soland. He graduated from Muhlenberg College (2018) with degrees in Theater and Political Science. Eric is thrilled to be working on such an important project. Tariq Malik is thrilled to be portraying Kurt in Notes from the Basement. He most recently starred as Sick Boy in the Off-Broadway run of Trainspotting Live (2018-2019). Between working on Notes from the Basement and developing other new works, he can also be seen performing in the new immersive experience, The Unbrunch, which will be running spring and summer of 2019.
